Ski and Snowboarding Accidents
Ski Resorts have a legal duty to protect the health and safety of their guests. If you have suffered an injury while skiing or snowboarding you may have grounds for an injury claim.
A lift ticket or pass includes a waiver basically stating that the TicketHolder assumes all risk of injury, death or property loss. However this waiver does not always protect the resort from claims of negligence or the negligence of a skier or snowboarder.
Negligence Claims against a Resort can include:
- Malfunction of a chairlift or other lifts resulting in injury
- Improper or lack of signage for boundaries
Injury may also occur as a result of another skier or snowboarder. This can occur when a person is not adhering to the Alpine or Cross Country Responsibility Code and they cause an accident that results in injury.
We can assist in determining that the responsible party has insurance, typically homeowners, to make a claim against.
